BEAUMONT BLUE AMMONIA SYNLOOP PLANT
BEAUMONT BLUE AMMONIA SYNLOOP PLANT Beaumont New Ammonia facility, located in southeast Texas, is a state-of-the-art plant designed to produce over 3,000 metric tons per day (MTPD) of lower-carbon ammonia.Production capacity
Tecnimont has been executing full engineering activities and supply of all materials and equipment as well as construction supervision services.
Once completed, the plant will produce 3,000 tons per day of blue ammonia, a key building block for fertilizers and low‑carbon emission fuels, playing a pivotal role in the development of decarbonized value chains.
Blue ammonia is obtained from hydrogen derived from natural gas, where the related CO₂ by‑product is captured and sequestered.
Recently, the plant has successfully achieved the first production of ammonia following the completion of systems testing - a key step marking the start of commissioning activities.

THE FACILITY IS EQUIPPED WITH THE NECESSARY UTILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE TO PRODUCE UP TO 1.1 MILLION TONS OF LOWER‑CARBON AMMONIA PER ANNUM.
